Using the LongCitation Template with Cite

Introduction

This page explains how to use the LongCitation template with the MediaWiki Cite extension.

This template is still in beta testing mode.

Purpose

The Template:LongCitation template produces an easy to understand, although sometimes fairly verbose, citation description. It is designed to be used inside tags such as <ref> and </ref>.

Parameter Details

It is not expected that all parameters will ever be specified, and logically this would not make sense. It is up to the user to select which parameters are useful, compatible, and applicable. However, the LongCitation template decides the order these parameters are displayed.
