Burning Manhattan

Burning Manhattan (basic version)

• Invented by Eric Christiansen to commemorate the burning man festival. Good on a hot day.

Ingredients

• 1 oz cinnamon whiskey.
• 1 oz rye (or regular whiskey).
• 1 oz sweet vermouth.
• 1 oz cherry jar juice or cherry liqueur.
• 1 cherry.
• 1 dash of bitters.
• 1 cinnamon stick.
• 1 cinnamon hard candy.

Glassware

• Lowball

Construction

• Add cinnamon Whiskey, rye, vermouth, cherry juice, and bitters to shaker with ice.
• Shake well to chill.
• Strain into a lowball glass.
• Garnish with a maraschino cherry, cinnamon stick, and/or candy.
• Enjoy drink.
